CASE 1 – RECOVERY FROM POST-SURGICAL INFECTION AFTER FAILURE OF ANTIBIOTICS

A 17-year-old boy named Sulman, a student of HSSC First Year, was brought to the clinic in extremely poor health. He had undergone back surgery in one of the leading hospitals in Pakistan. After the surgery ,he developed a serious post-operative infection.

Doctors placed him on high-dose antibiotics for nearly one month. When the infection did not resolve, a second surgery was performed to clean the infected tissue, followed again by another month of antibiotics.

Despite these treatments, the patient became extremely weak, pale, and bedridden. He was unable to walk, speak properly, or eat. Doctors eventually discharged him as no further antibiotic treatment appeared effective.

Homeopathic treatment was started with a single dose of Nux Vomica 30. Soon afterward, the patient experienced intense bowel movements, which appeared to help clear the toxic effects of prolonged medication.

From the following day Silicea 30, Hepar Sulph 30, and Arnica 30 were given alternately. Within one week the patient regained strength, recovered significantly, and returned to college.
