CASE 2 – HOMEOPATHIC MANAGEMENT OF PCOS WITH HISTORY OF MULTIPLE MISCARRIAGES

A young married woman visited the clinic with a distressing history of repeated miscarriages. She had been trying to conceive for several years, but every pregnancy ended in early loss. The repeated miscarriages had caused both physical weakness and emotional stress, and the patient had gradually begun to lose hope of carrying a pregnancy successfully.
Prior medical investigations and ultrasound examinations revealed that she was suffering from Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). This hormonal disorder was believed to be the primary reason for her reproductive problems, as it can interfere with normal ovulation, hormonal balance, and the ability to sustain pregnancy.
Because of the severity of the condition and the persistent reproductive difficulties, the attending physicians had recommended surgical intervention as the next step in treatment.
Before proceeding with surgery, the patient sought homeopathic consultation.
After evaluating her medical history, physical condition, and overall symptom picture, homeopathic treatment was initiated. The patient was prescribed Pulsatilla Q and advised to take 14 drops in a small amount of water, three times daily, for a period of four weeks.
During the course of treatment, the patient reported gradual improvement in her general health. Her hormonal symptoms began to stabilize, and her overall physical condition improved.
At the end of one month, follow-up examination showed significant improvement in the ovarian condition. The symptoms associated with PCOS had reduced, and the medical opinion that had previously suggested surgery was reconsidered.
As a result of this improvement, surgical intervention was no longer required, and the patient was able to continue her recovery through non-invasive treatment.
